Upcoming eclipses

Contact times, how much of each eclipse is actually visible from where you are, and how high it sits above the horizon. Eclipses are not given a stargazing score: the score describes a whole night of dark sky, and an eclipse asks whether one bright object is visible at one moment on one bearing. Those are different questions.

Times below are the same everywhere on Earth. Whether an eclipse is actually above your horizon, how high it sits, which direction to look, and for a solar eclipse how much of the sun is covered, all depend on where you are.

Altitudes and directions are for the location above, and change with where you stand: a solar eclipse covering a third of the sun in Northern Ireland can cover nearly all of it in southern Spain.
